Here’s what’s going on in our Neighborhood:

The 6th Annual “Celebration of Lights” contest!

Let us know you’re participating!  Send us your name & address either via email to or text to 562-304-0448.

Be creative and have lots of fun decorating the exterior of your home, condo or apartment.

Our roving team of judges will review the lights on Wednesday, December 19th from 7:00 to 8:30, so be sure to have your lights on!


  • Gold Winner – Professional photographer, J. Christopher Launi, will photograph your Home or Family in Bluff Heights, Long Beach. Chris has photographed many of Long Beach’s historical properties and events. (a $350.00 value).
  • Silver Winner – a $25.00 Gift Certificate to “Flamin Curry.” Long Beach’s newest and most tasty Indian take-out located on Broadway at Redondo Ave.
  • Bronze Winner – a $25.00 Gift Certificate to “MVP Grill and Patio,” Long Beach’s well established restaurant serving Burgers and much more. MVP Is located on 4th Street at Temple Ave.
    All prizes have No Cash Value, are Non-Transferrable and Non-Exchangeable and can only be redeemed for stated Services or Goods.

Winners will be notified by the board of the BHNA either directly at dwelling or via U.S. Mail.  Verification may be required.

“Bluff Heights Feeds” from Dec. 10th to 21st

The Neighborhood Association wants your “Canned Foodstuffs Only” (soup, tuna, green beans, etc.) to help feed our less fortunate neighbors living in Long Beach.  Please bring donations to the Bluff Heights Pantry Collection Box, now located at The Bicycle Stand at 2750 East Broadway between Temple and Molino.

All donations will help benefit “Help Me, Help You”, a local Long Beach food bank.

Bembridge House’s Victorian Christmas Event – the theme this year is “Victorian Christmas”

The family-friendly day is on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and, because it was so incredibly popular last year, 2 nighttime adults-only tours (complete with a cup of holiday wassail!) on Friday, Dec. 7 and Friday, Dec. 14 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Daytime Tours are also available Tuesdays and Saturdays.

“Bluff Heights ♥️ Halloween”
