If you are not receiving your copy of the BHNA Newsletter, Bluff Heights Neighborhood News and web site guidelines for submission of articles & images: Thank you for your interest in submitting an article for use in Bluff Heights Neighborhood News. If this is the first time you are submitting content to our newsletter, be sure to read our guidelines and usage policies below, and learn where articles you submit may appear in addition to the Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association web site. Please note: We only accept submissions from the original author of the articles. By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to distribute the work and to allow it to be redistributed. We do not pay for articles, and do not accept articles that are primarily advertisements. However, you may place a brief resource box and contact information (but no ads) at the end of your article. Guidelines By submitting an article to us, you agree to let us use the article not only in Bluff Heights Neighborhood News , but any place content from Bluff Heights Neighborhood News is used. You, however, retain the copyright in your work and are free to reuse it in any way you want. We are interested in seeing well-written features, how-to articles, "how I did it" stories, tips and hints, instructions, motivational articles and other event-related articles that will help our audience gain knowledge that will help create a safe, successful and attractive neighborhood environment. Among the broad subject areas we cover are community building, education, historic preservation, public safety, neighborhood beautification and thoughtful growth designed to enhance the quality of life among its residents. To further understand this publication and web site please read our mission statement: The Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to community building, education, historic preservation, public safety, neighborhood beautification and thoughtful growth designed to enhance the quality of life among its residents. Please submit your article within your e-mail or as an attached Microsoft Word document with the extension .doc . If your article is accepted we may contact you about visuals. Upon approval of your piece, keep in mind our publication is black and white and it appears on our web site as a black and white pdf. Occasionally we may require a color image(s), .jpegs, gifs, tiffs and eps files are all acceptable. By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to distribute the visuals and to allow them to be redistributed. Articles that reference an upcoming event or just have a "shelf life" to them must be submitted 50 days prior to the first Saturday of the following 4 months the Bluff Heights Neighborhood News is published: January, April, June and September. Other articles that do not have a shelf life may be stored by the editor for when publication space is available. Please use the words newsletter submission somewhere in the subject of your email so we can identity the nature of the communication.
