About the Event
This informative, docent-led walking tour will explore the early human settlement of native tribes as well as early Twentieth Century history of our Bluff Heights neighborhood. Our tour will start at Corto Place while strolling Broadway from Redondo to Junipero highlighting many local historical landmarks along the way.
Our tour will stop to see our historic interpretive panel at JugBand so you can learn about the interesting history of the Bungalow Grocery and other historic landmarks along Broadway. We'll also quickly explore the Lowena Drive historic district and explore the unique Chateauesque Architecture before ending around lunchtime with refreshments and a light picnic social at Bixby Park's Saturday farmers’ market.
